The Louisiana Delta Initiative (LDI) developed its strategic plans in 2008. Those plans were presented on April 2, 2008 in Rayville at the Louisiana Delta Initiative: One Voice Summit.
In 2009, the LDI will begin implementing such signature projects as:
1. Connect Carroll (a broadband mapping project for East and West Carroll Parishes);
2. CAMP (Community Asset Mapping Project whereby high school students learn how to create digital maps for local government officials);
3. Bricks to Clicks for Local Businesses whereby 5 downtown businesses in northeast Louisiana will gain access to broadband, computer technology and training to take their businesses global; and
4. Bricks to Clicks for Local Governments where public facilities gain access to wireless Internet connectivity to support social entrepreneurship, non-profit organizational development grant writing in communities and more.
